USITT: Innovative Fabrics for Theater, Costume & Scenic Design

The Challenge
At the 2025 USITT Conference in Columbus, Ohio, Testfabrics aimed to show how advanced textiles can support costume, scenic, and cosplay designers through materials that respond precisely to heat, dye, and manipulation.
Our Solution
We presented Fosshape, Wonderflex, Extra-Wide Polyester Poplin 120, and Unbleached Cotton Needle Punch Felt – versatile fabrics ideal for dyeing, colorfastness, and form manipulation alongside hands-on Discovery Kits for theatrical and academic exploration.
The Impact
USITT attendees enthusiastically experimented with Testfabrics’ materials, discovering new ways to merge creativity with science. The success of our Discovery Kits reinforced Testfabrics’ role in advancing education and entertainment design innovation.
