Multifiber fabrics with heat sealed edges should not be used in stationary tests because the raised melted edge can cause uneven
staining between the multifiber fabric and test specimen, and results cannot be guaranteed.

Multifiber Fabric #1 with cold cut edges should only be used in static AATCC colorfastness tests. Cold cut multifiber fabrics have a clean level edge. In AATCC colorfastness testing, cold cut multifiber fabrics are used to evaluate potential staining of a test sample on other textiles in stationary colorfastness testing scenarios. Multifiber fabric with cold cut edges will fall apart if they are used with agitation or in a laundrometer under mechanical action.
