The ISO Adjacent Wool is a plain weave, medium weight, wool fabric. It does not contain any finishes, resins, binders, softeners, or dyes. It is used as a wool single fiber adjacent fabric in ISO 105 tests. It conforms to the specifications outlined for adjacent fabrics and wool in ISO 105-A01 and F01. Adjacent fabrics are undyed cloths used in colorfastness testing for the assessment of staining. The general principal of the color fastness tests involves a specimen of a textile to be tested with the adjacent fabric attached to it. Any staining that occurs on the adjacent fabric after the test is evaluated.
Description
Our stock fabrics are prepared for printing and dyeing through controlled desizing, scouring, and bleaching, with no added sizings, finishes, or resins. Each lot is validated in our lab for weight, width, pH, dye affinity, and overall continuity with previous production. When any characteristic shifts outside expected tolerances, the change is documented and communicated.
